How does technology make my life better? Alarm Clock

My girlfriend and I have different hours to wake up to. She used to have to go to work earlier than I had to go to school. We used to use our cell phones to wake us up but that was cumbersome at best. Eventually, we just got used to the ringers and ignored the alarm. Worst, often the phone would fall under the bed and we'd waste time trying to find it.

I wanted to get a radio alarm clock since it will wake us up with something different every day. This way, we don't get accustomed to the ringers. What I wanted was a clock radio with dual alarms at a reasonable price.

I did a little research and found this guy at the Radio-Shack/Source.

Its a Sony dual alarm clock radio. I don't know the exact model number (its up in my room) but you can find it at the Source Canadian Tire, and Amazon.

Its a great piece of kit and does a good job at waking me up. The greatest feature of this alarm clock is the built in time synchronizer. The clock will sync itself to atomic time every night. This is just amazing. I never have to worry about power outages taking out my alarm settings. I also don't have to worry about daylight savings either since it will catch that update as well. Best of all, dual alarms.

I have always been intrigued by the atomic clocks and its great to know that at least one of my clocks is sync'ed to one of the most precise timing units available today.
